American actress and singer Jennifer Lopez is addressing the ‘negativity in the world’ amid ongoing rumors surrounding her marriage with husband Ben Affleck.
In a recent edition of her “On the JLo” newsletter distributed to subscribers via email on Wednesday, Lopez expressed gratitude to fans for making her new Netflix movie, “Atlas,” the No. 1 film on the streaming platform.
“Hi everybody, I just found out some great news and it’s all because of YOU!! ‘ATLAS’ is #1 worldwide again this week!!! Thank you all so much!!!” she wrote.
“It may seem like there’s a lot of negativity out in the world right now…but don’t let the voices of a few drown out that there is soooo much love out there.”
Lopez, aged 54, concluded her message by expressing her appreciation to her fans once again and telling them she loves them “so much.”
The “Selena” star’s newsletter arrived amid ongoing speculation about the state of her marriage to Affleck.
Reports of marital issues between the couple, who exchanged vows in July 2022, surfaced when Lopez attended the 2024 Met Gala solo in New York City on May 6.
While a source informed TMZ that the “Gone Girl” star, aged 51, couldn’t attend the fashion event due to filming commitments for “The Accountant 2,” Affleck was spotted at Tom Brady’s Netflix roast in Los Angeles, which was recorded the night before the Met Gala.
Moreover, Affleck has been seen on multiple occasions without his wedding ring, and there have been reports of him staying in a separate residence.
Meanwhile, Lopez was seen house hunting with a friend in Beverly Hills, California.
According to a source cited by Us Weekly, Lopez and Affleck are now “on two completely different pages” as their honeymoon phase fades away.
Despite speculations about their marriage, the couple has displayed a united front.
They recently attended Affleck’s daughter Violet’s high school graduation party together and were seen at his son Samuel’s basketball game.
Although they refrained from public displays of affection at the game, a source told People that their joint attendance was a “good sign.”
Lopez and Affleck initially dated from 2002 to 2004 before rekindling their romance in 2021 and getting engaged the following year. They exchanged vows in Vegas in July 2022 and had a second wedding in Georgia the following month.
Lopez shares twins Emme and Max, aged 16, with ex Marc Anthony, while Affleck has three children—Violet, aged 18, Seraphina, aged 15, and Samuel, aged 12—with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
