Karamjit was later discovered about a mile away with a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head. Their mother, aged 52, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was promptly hospitalized. Despite efforts to save him, Vipanpal succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
