A robot dressed in the colors of the German national team will be serving England’s football stars at their luxurious Euro 2024 team hotel. Named Kehrbart, reminiscent of a humorous German term for a sweeper, this real-life WALL-E delivers meals to tables, complete with a Deutschland motif and the squad number 24. Formerly known as Robby, the robot underwent a transformation during the recent stay of the German team at the hotel, maintaining its new appearance for the arrival of old rivals England. As Three Lions stars like Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham prepare to fly to their tournament base, Kehrbart remains clad in Germany’s colors, ready to greet Gareth Southgate’s 26-man squad. Sources humorously recall former England striker Peter Crouch’s iconic robot goal celebration, also performed in a No24 shirt during the 2006 World Cup. One insider shared with the Sun on Sunday: “Robby is typically a slate grey color with flashing blue eyes and assists staff in delivering plates and dishes.

However, with the recent stay of the German team at the hotel, he was given a new appearance and a new name to show his support for them. Whether the England team will opt to change his appearance upon arrival remains uncertain, but outfitting him in a Three Lions shirt and giving him an English name, perhaps Bobby the Robot in homage to Bobby Moore, could be a fitting idea.”

The source humorously adds, “If Peter Crouch were still playing for England, he could recreate his famous robot dance goal celebration alongside the mechanical attendant.”
