A train destined for Abuja from Kaduna State tragically struck twin toddlers, Hassana and Hussaina Barau, to their demise at Kuchiko village, a border settlement between Bwari Area Council of the FCT and Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State.
The unfortunate incident occurred, despite the fact that the victims were scheduled to celebrate their second birthday in July this year.
The victims were expected to celebrate their two-year birthday in July this year.
A community leader, Andrew Dogonyaro, confirmed the occurrence to the Daily Trust on Tuesday, May 29, 2024, stating that it occurred around 10 am on Saturday.
“The children had a habit of visiting their neighbors independently. That’s how they left their home that day without anyone noticing,” he elaborated.
