Chris Sutton suggests that Man City is labeled as ‘boring’ due to their high frequency of victories

According to Chris Sutton, the reason people refer to Man City as ‘boring’ is because of their consistent winning record, not because they dislike their style of play.

Ever since Pep Guardiola took charge at the Etihad in 2016, the Spaniard has led City to a period of supremacy, clinching 17 trophies under his reign, including four consecutive Premier League titles.

Consequently, they have been labeled as ‘boring’ due to their dominance, with several fans and experts expressing frustration over the lack of competition in England.

However, City experienced an unexpected setback with a defeat to Man United in the FA Cup final over the weekend.

According to Sutton on Mail Sport’s It’s All Kicking Off podcast, he mentioned that individuals find Guardiola’s team uninteresting because they are ‘so good,’ and he stated that those who criticize them for playing a ‘boring’ style are simply ‘envious.’
