Enzo Maresca has been officially appointed as the new head coach of Chelsea, signing a five-year contract

Chelsea has announced Enzo Maresca as their new head coach, granting him a five-year contract with a potential extension for a sixth year following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino. The Italian manager, already gearing up for pre-season, will officially commence his duties on July 1st.

Leicester City is set to receive a compensation package of approximately £10 million for the loss of Maresca, along with six of his support staff who will also be making the move to Chelsea.

The search for the new coach was spearheaded by co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart, with unanimous approval from the club’s ownership, including Behdad Eghbali, Jose E. Feliciano, and Todd Boehly, in favor of appointing Maresca.
