Napoli have officially announced the appointment of former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte as their new head coach, signing him on a three-year deal.
The 54-year-old Italian becomes the fourth head coach since the departure of Scudetto-winning manager Luciano Spalletti following the 2022-23 season.
Conte’s arrival follows Napoli’s disappointing title defense, which saw them finish in 10th place in Serie A, considered one of the worst in the league’s history.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Conte stated, “Napoli is a place of global importance. I am happy and excited at the idea of sitting on the blue bench,” emphasizing his dedication to the team’s growth and success.

Conte returns to Serie A after a 15-month hiatus from coaching, having last managed Tottenham Hotspur for less than two years in north London.
This marks Conte’s fourth coaching stint in Serie A, having previously managed Juventus three times and Inter Milan once.
His appointment comes after Napoli endured a disastrous title-defence which saw them finish 10th place in Serie A, in what is regarded as one of the worst title defences in the league’s history.

He continued: ‘I can certainly promise one thing: I will do my utmost for the growth of the team and the club. My commitment, together with that of my staff, it will be total.’
