Former US President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden clashed in the first presidential debate of the 2024 race, discussing issues ranging from reproductive rights to the southern border and inflation.
At one juncture, after Biden had trailed off while defending his record on border security, Trump remarked, “I really don’t know what he said at the end of that sentence. I don’t think he knows what he said, either.”

Throughout the debate, Biden’s voice was hoarse and raspy from the outset, and he stumbled over words, occasionally needing to correct himself with numbers, making him difficult to understand.
At one point, Biden appeared to lose his train of thought, concluding with the statement, “We finally beat Medicare.”
