Kyari stated, “A significant number of our tomato farms have been affected by a severe infestation known as Tomato Ebola or Tomato Leaf Miner. This has significantly reduced tomato availability and led to price hikes. Our ministry is swiftly responding to tackle this challenge. We are sending agricultural experts to affected areas to control and eradicate the infestation.
Moreover, we are providing farmers with essential resources and guidance to help them recover their crops promptly, similar to how we established the Ginger Blight Control Taskforce.
