The Lagos Labour Party spokesperson, Ife Salako, confronts Wole Soyinka, saying, “At 89, you have no future in this country”

Ife Salako, the Lagos Labour Party spokesperson, criticized Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka for suggesting that Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, should not run for the presidency in 2027 due to his followers.

 

Salako, in a video, remarked that Soyinka, at 89, “has no future in Nigeria.”

He also mentioned past incidents involving Soyinka using a gun and accused him of causing problems instead of solving them at his age. Salako claimed that Soyinka supports a politician with questionable characters in his circle.

Additionally, he highlighted the need to focus on improving the country amidst economic challenges.
