The Army Headquarters has countered assertions made by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) regarding soldiers allegedly encircling the location where a meeting between the NLC and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) is taking place.

In a recent statement shared on its official channel, the NLC raised concerns about the presence of soldiers surrounding the ongoing meeting venue.

Responding to these allegations, the Army Headquarters, through its official channel, clarified that the military personnel present at the meeting venue are part of the standard security detail for Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA), who is also in attendance.
