The owners of Man United, INEOS, have released a statement regarding the possible Europa League ban

INEOS, the owners of Man United, express their confidence that the club will receive approval to participate in the Europa League next season.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the INEOS Group acquired over £1 billion for a 27.7 percent share in the club in December, with the stake set to increase to nearly 30 percent after an additional £238 million investment.

It’s worth noting that the INEOS group also possesses the French team Nice, which is where the situation starts to get tricky.

Following United’s win against Man City in the FA Cup final on Saturday, the Red Devils have secured a spot in the Europa League, causing Chelsea to move down to the Conference League.

It’s been confirmed that Nice has secured their spot in the tournament by clinching fifth place in Ligue 1. UEFA rules have clarified that although multiple teams owned by the same entity can participate in European competitions, a restriction on these teams competing in the same tournament still stands.

This situation has raised concerns that United might be pushed down to the Conference League since Nice achieved a higher ranking in their league.
