Tinubu extends free ride on Abuja Metro by six months
President Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday, May 29, announced the extension of complimentary train rides on the Abuja Rail Mass Transit, commonly known as the Metro Rail, until the end of the year. Earlier, FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, had declared two months of free train rides to alleviate commuting challenges for FCT residents.

However, Tinubu disclosed the six-month extension during the inauguration of the Abuja metro rail’s operational commencement today.

He addressed the landlord and his team, stating, “I’ve heard about the two months of free rides. I urge you to extend it until the end of the year. By not charging today, it will provide people with hope and cause for celebration.”
