Real Madrid stalwart Toni Kroos has delivered an exceptional farewell message to the Los Blancos fans.

Thousands of supporters filled the streets of the Spanish capital to celebrate Real Madrid’s 2024 UEFA Champions League victory. As the team paraded through Madrid, with the iconic Cibeles fountain as their final destination, Kroos was greeted with acclaim at every turn.

The German international has been visibly emotional in recent days following his announcement of retirement from football after Euro 2024.

He bid a stirring farewell after being substituted late in Real Madrid’s 2-0 triumph over Borussia Dortmund at Wembley in the final, securing his legendary status in Madrid with a fifth European title at the club.

During a speech at Puerta del Sol, Kroos reminded the fans of his pledge to lift another trophy there, just weeks after their La Liga celebrations.

“The past ten years here have been extraordinary. Thank you for everything. Three weeks ago, we promised we would return, and here we are!”

Kroos is anticipated to join the Germany squad for Euro 2024 next week, as the host nation kicks off their tournament against Scotland on June 14th.
