A neighborhood dispute escalated tragically when a man opened fire on his neighbor, resulting in a fatal shooting captured on video.
In the distressing surveillance footage from Monday, June 3rd in Costa Rica, two neighbors and their respective wives can be seen engaged in a heated argument, which quickly escalates into a physical confrontation.
The altercation, which began inside their adjoining homes in Escazú, spills out into the front yard, where the two parties continue exchanging insults.
The dispute reportedly centered around a shared water valve, and as tensions reached a boiling point, the situation turned violent when Otoniel Orozco Mendoza, one of the neighbors, initiated a physical altercation by throwing punches at his neighbor, Eduardo Ramírez Zamora.
In response, Zamora brandished a gun and fired 10 shots at Mendoza, who tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
As the shots rang out, Mendoza’s wife was seen screaming and fleeing, while Zamora’s wife attempted to restrain him.
Both women eventually ran off, leaving Zamora to be apprehended by authorities following the incident.
Mendoza, originally from Nicaragua, was a businessman working in private security. He leaves behind his wife, daughter, and son at the age of 53.
